My thanks are due to the following who have contributed, either wittingly or otherwise, to the content of this site.

Jonathan Glassow of Bloomington, Minnesota, who e-mailed me a 35-page document originally compiled by his Grandfather's brother.

Dr John J McGroarty of Easton, Minnesota, the aforesaid relative of Jonathan Glassow who compiled a wealth of information about the descendants of Neil McGroarty (1746) up to 1945.

Gregory John McGroarty, sometime of Ontario, Canada but more recently living in Ballintra, Co. Donegal who had quite a lot of material on the Internet. I have given him a page to himself under "notable McGroartys", although I'm not sure that he deserves it as he never replied to any of my e-mails.

Catherine Riley Billups, granddaughter of Catherine McGroarty; sometime of USA but now living in Italy, whose enquiries on the Net were an inspiration and help. She maintains regular contact with me.

Colin McGroarty  has a web-site mcgroarty.org which is US-based, and is worth a visit. I acquired a lot of leads from here.

Michael (Mickey) Mullen of Inver, Co Donegal who has McGroarty connections and has been very helpful to me.

John McGroarty, Dublin, retired from police duties but still active in lots of other things. He has lately been sending me useful historical info, but is no manner of use at all when it comes to my family connections.

John Regis McGroarty  from Alaska. 80 years old in 2007 and still working the Internet. JR sent me useful info which is also published under "Historical Stuff"
